Set a Velocity TargetUpdated a month ago

Velocity-based training (VBT) helps you train at the right intensity for your goals. Setting a target velocity keeps you in the optimal zone for strength, power, or speed development.

How to Set Your Target

  1. Make sure your Data Plate is connected and you've selected your exercise
  2. Enter your ANCORE/ANCORE Pro resistance level first
  3. Tap the target icon near the top right of the center dial
  4. Enter your target velocity using the keypad
    • Use the decimal point for targets under 1.0 m/s (like 0.8 m/s)
    • Most strength training targets are between 0.3-1.0 m/s
  5. Tap "Done" and start lifting!

What Happens During Your Exercises

  • Hit your target: Green progress bar and a success sound - you're in the zone!
  • Miss your target: Gold progress bar and a different sound - time to adjust weight or rest more

Other Target Options

You can also set targets for power, distance, and other metrics by selecting different views and using the same target icon.
